Nursery Design
Sarah Ann Design is owned and managed by Interior Designer, Sarah P. Gary, an Allied Member of American Society of Interior Design. Sarah received her Bachelors in Fine Art at Brenau University in Gainesville, Ga and went on to earn her Masters in Interior and Product Design at the Academia Italiana in Florence, Italy. Her professional experience includes Commercial and Residential Interior Design projects. Pistorino Design’s Residential projects have included baby nurseries, interior space planning, furniture/finish selection and home additions. When focusing on designing a nursery Sarah considers all equations into the scheme: how the nursery flows with the rest of the house, the overall feeling and aesthetics the parents desire, the safety of products in the room, the psychology of nursery design and the effect it has on a baby, the importance of the layout of the furniture to utilize the space in the room, and how the use of color in the nursery is a baby’s first experience with the environment and how studies have proven by doctors and scientists that this exposure aids in a baby’s development. Not only is the welcoming of a new baby into a home exciting, but to bring your baby home to a room specially designed for her/him is a perfect way to cherish the addition to the family.
